I’m a māmā, partner, daughter, sister, aunty and friend. An extroverted introvert, and a lover of learning and sharing in this thing called life. This is a space where I dabble in the art of tuhituhi. I hope that through sharing and storytelling, I might help make the world a better place, even in the smallest of ways.

I live in the beautiful city of Porirua where I was also born and raised. I have mostly worked in and around the public service. I’m currently working for an iwi organisation whilst also starting my own business.

My writing journey started when I became a Mum at age 19. It began as a journal to my first born child, my daughter. I wrote about life as a young Mum, the good and the bad, as truthfully as I could. I gave her this journal when she turned 16 years old.

I started writing again in 2023 as a way to channel my energy and emotions as I journeyed through a year of being alcohol free. I found writing therapeutic, and so I’ve continued to tutū in this space, whenever the cause or inspiration arises. I decided to capture my tuhituhi online as a way to store and share my stories. Mō ngā mokopuna te take.

The name Journey to Ninety is inspired by my big hairy audacious goal to live to at least 90 years old. Read more on this here.
